Laser Repairs

The laser is just one of the many advancements that separates Nash's from the competition. Ask about the newest technology that shows intensity of light called ASET (Angular Spectrum Evaluation Tool) created by the AGS (American Gem Society).

Laser welders are a technological advancement that is becoming increasingly common in goldsmithing shops and manufacturing facilities. By using a sharply focused beam of light to produce very high heat in a small area, lasers are allowing jewellers to routinely accomplish tasks that would once have been either impossible or too time consuming to be worthwhile. With the ability of the laser, repairs that once required multiple steps-disassembling a piece, unsetting stones, completing the repair, and then re-setting the stones - can now be completed in a single step.

The laser's concentrated heat also facilitates delicate repairs without risking further damage to fragile antique jewellery. We are continuously discovering new uses for the laser welder that will save time and money.

We now repair eyeglass frames as well! A laser weld is much more reasonable than a whole new pair of glasses. Prices range from $50 to $75 for most eye glasses.
